Copyright, Artwork & Acceptable Content Policy
GOLDEN ADS LEGAL
Rules for using Golden Ads artwork and for photographs, files and other content supplied for printing, design, publication or digital services.
Effective: 2 August 2026
1. Purpose and scope
This policy applies both to Golden Ads artwork, product images and creative materials, and whenever you upload, email, transfer or otherwise provide photographs, artwork, logos, text, designs, data or other material to Golden Ads Ltd for printing, reproduction, restoration, design, website, advertising or related services. It supplements our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and project-specific quotation or statement of work.
Buying a Golden Ads print, photograph, artwork or other physical product gives you ownership of that physical item. It does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights unless the product listing or a separate written licence expressly grants them. You may display and enjoy the item, take ordinary personal photographs in which it appears incidentally and resell that single lawful physical item. Statutory exceptions, including any applicable fair-dealing rights, remain unaffected.
2. Your rights confirmation
By providing content, you confirm that you own the relevant copyright and other rights, have a valid licence or permission covering the requested use, or are otherwise legally entitled to ask us to use and reproduce it. Buying a physical artwork, print or photograph does not necessarily transfer copyright.
You must tell us about any licence conditions, attribution requirements, edition limits, expiry dates, territorial restrictions or moral-rights requirements before we accept the order.
3. Limited licence to perform the service
You retain ownership of your content. You grant Golden Ads a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence limited to receiving, securely storing, checking, adapting, colour-correcting, cropping, proofing, reproducing and sharing the content with approved production, technology or delivery providers only as reasonably necessary to quote for, produce, deliver, support or evidence the requested work.
This licence ends when it is no longer reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute records described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Content we do not accept
Do not provide content that is unlawful or that:
- infringes copyright, trade marks, design rights, database rights, privacy, publicity or moral rights;
- is counterfeit, deceptive, defamatory, threatening, hateful or intended to facilitate fraud;
- sexually exploits or endangers a child, or is otherwise prohibited sexual content;
- contains malware, harmful code, unlawfully obtained personal data or instructions intended to compromise a person or system;
- misuses official insignia, identity documents, currency or protected marks; or
- breaches a court order, licence restriction or applicable law.
5. Images of people, privacy and trade marks
If content identifies another person, you are responsible for having an appropriate lawful basis, notice and permission for the requested use. For children or vulnerable people, obtain valid authority from a parent, guardian or other authorised person where required. You must also have permission for third-party logos, brands and protected characters unless a legal exception clearly applies.
6. Review, questions and refusal
We may carry out proportionate technical or legal checks, ask for evidence of permission, reject a file, pause production or cancel the affected order where we reasonably suspect infringement, illegality, safety risk or a material breach of this policy. A technical file check is not legal clearance and does not mean that we have verified ownership.
If we stop work because required permission was not supplied, charges may remain payable for work properly completed and unavoidable third-party costs, subject to consumer law and the agreed contract.
7. Copyright and rights complaints
A rights holder or authorised representative may report suspected infringement by emailing info@goldenads.co with the subject “Rights notice”. We will assess sufficiently detailed, good-faith notices and may temporarily restrict production, publication or access while reviewing them.
8. Information to include in a notice
Please provide:
- your name, organisation and contact details;
- identification of the protected work, mark or other right;
- the Golden Ads page, order, product or material concerned;
- an explanation of why the use is unauthorised;
- evidence that you own the right or are authorised to act; and
- a statement that the information is accurate and submitted in good faith.
Do not send unnecessary identity documents or sensitive information. We may request proportionate verification if needed.
9. How we may respond
Depending on the evidence and circumstances, we may contact the customer, request further information, suspend production, remove online material, refuse a reprint, cancel an affected service or comply with a lawful request. We may share the notice with the customer where reasonably necessary to resolve the issue, protect legal rights or meet our obligations.
Where a customer disputes a notice, we may request evidence of ownership or permission. Golden Ads does not adjudicate complex ownership disputes and may keep material offline or production paused until the parties resolve the matter or a competent authority directs otherwise.
10. File security and retention
Keep your own original and backup. We use supplied files only for the agreed service and related administration. Artwork and production files are reviewed against production, re-order, warranty, fraud-prevention and legal needs and are then securely deleted or anonymised when no longer required. See our Privacy Policy for further information.
11. Protected works, responsibility and remedies
Golden Ads artwork, product photography, previews, website images, layouts, text and other creative material are owned by Golden Ads or used under licence. Unless we or the relevant rights holder give prior written permission, you must not scan, extract, download for reproduction, copy, trace, adapt, remove rights notices from, distribute, license, publish, make merchandise from, upload to a print-on-demand service, or commercially exploit any such material. You must not use a product photograph or preview as a substitute source file for producing another copy.
Unauthorised copying includes making or commissioning physical or digital reproductions, offering copies for sale, supplying a file to another printer or manufacturer, or enabling another person or automated service to reproduce the work. These restrictions do not prevent lawful display of the purchased physical item, resale of that single lawful item, incidental personal photography or any use permitted by law.
If infringement is suspected, Golden Ads or the relevant rights holder may require the use to stop, preserve evidence, request removal from a marketplace, host, search engine, social network, payment provider or print-on-demand service, suspend an affected order or account, and pursue remedies available under applicable law. Those remedies may include an injunction, delivery up or destruction of infringing copies, damages or an account of profits, interest and recoverable legal costs. The remedy and amount depend on the facts and the decision of a court or agreed settlement; this policy does not create an automatic penalty beyond what the law permits.
You are responsible for losses and third-party claims reasonably caused by materially false rights confirmations or by content you were not entitled to provide. Where you act in the course of business, you will reimburse Golden Ads for reasonable direct losses, liabilities, settlements and legal costs to the extent caused by that breach. For consumers, responsibility applies only to the extent permitted by law. We remain responsible for our own acts and for performing services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in this policy excludes liability, defences or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
